Open joint stock company "Second generating company of the wholesale electricity market" (OJSC "OGK-2") registered in Izobilny (Stavropol Krai) March 9, 2005. Pursuant to decree of the RF Government dated 1

September 2003, №1254-R, the OJSC "OGK-2" included: Pskovskaya GRES, Serovskaya GRES, Stavropolskaya GRES, Surgutskaya GRES-1 and Troitskaya GRES.

September 29, 2006 the station ceased operations as a legal entity and became part of the OJSC "OGK-2" as branches.

October 10, 2007 the placement of shares of OJSC "OGK-2" of additional issue among unlimited circle of investors (IPO) was completed.

July 1, 2008 reorganization in the form of merger with OJSC "OGK-2 holding by OJSC OGK-2" (the final stage of the reorganization of RAO "UES of Russia") was completed. As a result of reorganization the shareholders of RAO "UES of Russia" became the shareholders of OJSC "OGK-2".

June 21, 2011 Annual General meeting of shareholders of OJSC "OGK-2" and OJSC "OGK-6" was held. It was decided to reorganize the Companies in the form of merger of OGK-6 to OGK-2.

November 1, 2011 due to the completion of the reorganization of the Russian largest thermal power generating company OJSC "OGK-2" was created. Its total installed capacity was 17.9 GW (at the time of unification, in the crust. time - 18,1 GW) within 11 branches: Surgutskaya GRES-1 (Tyumen region), Ryazanskaya GRES (Ryazan region), Stavropolskaya GRES (Stavropol Krai), Kirishskaya (Leningrad region), Troitskaya GRES (Chelyabinsk region), Novocherkasskaya GRES (Rostov region), Krasnoyarskaya GRES-2 (Krasnoyarsk region), Cherepovetskaya GRES (Vologda region), Serovskaya GRES (Sverdlovsk region), Pskovskaya GRES (Pskov region), Adlerskaya (Krasnodar territory).

March 23, 2012 a solemn event dedicated to the commissioning of the combined cycle plant CCGT-800 Kirishskaya GRES took place. The installation became the most powerful gas-steam power unit of Russia and the largest facility in thermal generation, introduced in the country for the last 30 years and operating as a single unit. The event was attended by Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of OJSC "Gazprom" Alexey Miller.

January 21, 2013 Adler (the most modern facility energy generation Sochi) commissioned. The station will provide more than a third of the predicted peak load during sporting events of 2014. The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and the Chairman of OJSC "Gazprom" Alexey Miller took part in the events on the occasion of commissioning.

On June 24, 2015, the amended version of the Charter of the Company was registered by the federal authorities. There, the legal form of organization of the Company was changed from OJSC (open joint-stock company) to PJSC (public joint-stock company).

The new name of the Company is the Public Joint-Stock Company “Second Generating Company of the ElectricPower Wholesale Market”.

The abbreviated brand name of the Company is PAO OGK-2 (the Russian abbreviation for “Public Joint-Stock Company “Second Wholesale Generating Company”).
